Zalikha "Ossai" Safdari looked to her mother as inspiration growing up. As an expert tailor since 1942, Zalikha learned techniques unknown to traditional teaching institutions. Her familial experience coupled with a unique creative talent results in breathtaking designer exclusives.

Zalikha grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. During the planning of her wedding, she felt that certain unique touches were missing particularly in the invitation, wedding apparel and accessory markets. Through much searching, she decided to use the skills handed down to her to glean her own custom creations.

As fate had it her neice, Liza Rouhani, graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco majoring in Fashion Design around the same time. Liza added to the mix formal industry standards, refined technical skills and retail design experience working at Abercromie & Fitch's corporate office in Ohio. Together armed with natural creative ability and technical prowess, the duo formed a synergistic partnership that the best of designers aspire to own.

Working closely with Liza, her family and new husband, Zalikha was able to make into a business her namesake. Zalikha's nickname - Ossai- is addressed only by her family. Consequently, creating products tied so intimately to her must absolutely be composed of the best material, workmanship and creative savoire faire!
